French knitwear house founded in 1889 in the Normandy town of Saint-James, known for its pull marin (sailor sweaters) and marinière striped tops, knitted and sewn in its own ateliers near the Mont Saint-Michel. The range also covers shirts, trousers, jackets, vareuses, peacoats and coats, plus accessories; the company holds the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label.
